"On Safari" by Marshmellow Overcoat (Rock Artist from Pennsylvania)

The Rock group, Marshmellow Overcoat, releases their second excellent album, "On Safari." This CD is composed of well crafted songs reminiscent of the '60's with an easy listening style and terrific vocals. Opening up the album, "Over Me," moves with a nice beat and catches your attention with solid vocals and impressive harmonies. "Nothing's Ever Been the Same," is another song with wonderful vocals that rock to the smooth rhythm of the guitars and drums. When you hear the song, "Another Way to Hide," you will be taken back to a time when music was simplistic and grooved with a fun, free flowing style. This band is fantastic with their musical style of the 1960's as they revive a style of music from the past with songs that are original and melodic. "Inventions" by Kris Becker (Rock Artist from Houston, TX)

Kris Becker and his debut album, "Inventions," is an exquisite collection of finely crafted compositions featuring the genres of Rock, Jazz, and Classical. Becker creates an album that is rich in musical style and shows his superb versatility in performing a collective mix of music. "DELUSIONS OF GRANDUER" by GILLIES DADDY (Pop Artist)

The fantastic group Gillies Daddy brings back the music of the 60's with their recently released Pop album, "Delusions of Grandeur." This group is extremely reminiscent of the Beatles but with their own progressive modern touches. They display intense precision on their well written original songs and definitely capture the essence of this time period. Each song is dynamically balanced and you will enjoy how they mix up the instrumentation. The song, "Brand New Day," has a catchy beat and vocals that are strong and powerful. "What Could Be Better," is a song that has a bouncy feel and some tight harmonies. The horn riffs on the song, "Life," add a nice feel while the vocals sing the enchanting lyrics. "Children's Games" is a short song that has a mysterious feel and eerie attitude and at the end those great harmonies. John Neville releases a stunning collection of bird songs on his 2 CD set, "Bird Songs of the Central Boreal Forest Ontario and Manitoba including Churchill." Neville gives an educational tutorial on the many species of birds and covers six habitats as he spent two weeks recording 159 birds and 8 other species. He opens up the CD with a brief introduction explaining the land he covers and divides them into regions. On each track Neville gives a brief speech on the location where the bird was recorded and a description of the bird. "Black Scoter Macreuse à bec jaune," lets you hear the quiet piping and whistle notes of this bird and you will even hear it diving into the water. Another track, "Red-throated Loon Plongeon catmarin," lets you hear the different types of sounds the male species makes. It is truly amazing how many different types of birds there are and the different songs they make. The recordings of each track are clean and pure and you can hear every nuance these birds make.
