"Return from Broken" by Matt Soren (Rock Artist from Utah)

Matt Soren's newest album is "Return from Broken." It is one in which Soren fuses intense Electronic and Psychedelic Rock techniques to present a very cutting-edge sounding album that was made after Soren's successful battle with addiction and recovery. In "Breathe" we hear an echoed and industrial-type beat interact with Soren's effected voice and dancing synth tones. "Become" is a complex and building song with a lot of electronic sounds moving in and out giving way to a more soothing sounding tonality. For "On the Edge" we hear Soren play a relatively simple song as he begins by playing on his acoustic guitar before more hallucinatory sounds slowly move in. This is an album that is best described as Psychedelic/Industrial Rock, where the traditional use of the guitar is abandoned for more industrial sounding effects. Fans of Nine Inch Nails or Muse would find themselves drawn to Matt Soren's album, "Return from Broken."

"Walk Humbly" by Kathy Boyd & Phoenix Rising (Bluegrass Artist from Oregon)

"Walk Humbly" is the most recent album from Kathy Boyd & Phoenix Rising. It is a Christian music album that professes faith and love through the medium of bluegrass music. "Cast The First Stone" has a pleasantly rambling backwoods sound to it with crystal clear and spiritually inspiring lyrics. "I Ain't Afraid To Die" is a playful and swiftly paced bluegrass number with a message that if one has faith, death will no longer be a fear. "Faith Hope Bluegrass Music" is the song that best projects what this band is about, in a lively song that relies just on the strings of a guitar and mandolin with wonderful vocals/harmonies. This album is a collection of beautiful sounding traditional bluegrass songs that stand up on their own with the ever-present addition of a loving Christian message. "The Place we're longing for" by Masha Stepina Trio (Jazz Artist from Japan)

The talented group, Masha Stepina Trio, and their terrific new album, "The Place We're Longing For," embrace the listener with mellow and mellifluous jazz pieces played on the piano, bass, and drums. "January" is a number in which the piano seems to affably dance in the air as the drums almost imperceptible hold a soft beat. "Belltower" is maybe the most energetic number as the piano frolics quickly along with a spirited rhythm section. For "Thin Tree" we find a very reserved and introspective song featuring the piano playing with an emotive voice of style and grace. This album is one that leans towards easy-listening, but is also an album for fans of diversified jazz piano music. If highly talented & contemplative jazz is something you appreciate, then "The Place We're Longing For" is an album that would be a great addition to your Jazz collection.

"LIGHT IT UP" by LIBERTY N' JUSTICE (Classic Rock Artist from United Kingdom)

Liberty N' Justice has a new album, and it is called "Light It Up." This album, unlike their previous, is a studio project with the talents of songwriter/lead-singer Justin Murr featuring guest artists on nearly every song, in an album loaded with 80's metal music that have subtle Christian undertones. "Treading On Serpents" is a pulsating heavy rock song with soaring lyrics as Murr implores his listeners to "come walk with me and tread on serpents!" "Best Time You Never Had" is a gritty hard-rock song, with grisly guitar sounds and intensely thumping drums leading the way. For "Greed" we hear how Murr can belt out powerful lyrics and do it well, in this tenacious song about the evils of greed. This album is created for those who love the sound and attitude of metal rock from the 1980's, and for those who can appreciate a Christian message as well. Musically, if you are a fan of Bon Jovi or Def Leppard then this is an album you would be thoroughly pleased with.
